What does sickle's comp represent in sonnets 116?

i've always took it to represent the bad things 'time' brings, as it is 'time's bending sickle comp' i believe. it is not pleasant sounding language to refers to something bad that time will bring that could ruin a relationship, for example losing your looks, ill health, death separating a couple, falling out of love. love this poem! x
