For a Geology Career? I have a huge complaint!?

First, calm down...OK? To give yourself the best chance of employment in any aspect of Geology (except maybe teaching in high school) you need a Master's degree. Not an MS from any old school either. The degree needs to be awarded froma University generally noted for the quality of its program in the aspect of Geology you want to pursue. Example - if you want a job in the Petroleum business, it sould be a good idea to have an MS from LSU, Texas A&M, U of Texas, U of Oklahoma, Colorado School of Mines etc. A person with a BS starts at a lower salary and will have a harder time getting promoted - and that uming that they even get a job in the first place.
