Cooking a ham in the crock pot?

I have never cooked a ham in the crock pot. seems to me like it wont taste so well. not sure so thought id try it the ham is kind of big and it fits in my crock pot but it only half the ham is covered in the liquid to cook it?? can it still work like this or no?? I dont mind flipping it half way for the rest of it
